Saint Etienne Live @ Webster Hall NYC
Saint Etienne brought their cool pop sophistication
to Webster Hall NYC this past Friday and I was lucky enough to
score a ticket and the all-important perfect concert-viewing vantage point.

The elegant and ageless Sarah Cracknell was a delight to watch as she spent the
evening giving off a warm, engaging and celebratory vibe. That honey-throated
voice that I've been enjoying for over 20 years did not disappoint in person either.
Opening act The Golden Filter really floored me.
Lead singer Penelope Trappes was arresting, bewitching and almost feral in her approach to the
band's own songs as well as a surprise cover of "The Hardest Button To Button" by The White Stripes.
Let's just say that this concertgoer walked in familiar with this band, but definitely walked out a fan.
