Pieces Moved Into Place

Walk with me...

Never mind the heat. It's okay.

Some trails are cooler than others.

I look forward to the purple flowers by the pond every year.

I miss the blue heron but I'm
always happy to see my turtle friends.

Yup... Still A Dump.

Dad had a little hand surgery and he's fine.

Why are some things so perfect?

A couple of recent eBay scores for my archives.

Working out a new assemblage...

Some items aren't going to be used
and are either discarded or stored for later.

The layers, tightly assembled...

I bought four decks of these cards on eBay to use as collage
and assemblage material. It took me years to find enough of these
specific playing cards to build with. I chose them because my
grandparents had a couple of decks of them in their house. When
they moved out of Staten Island I grabbed a number of them
(somehow the deck was incomplete) and glued several into an
older sketchbook. I love the fact that Nu Vue made this pattern
in four different colorways in the 1960s. I still have some of each
of the four decks left for some fine art collages I plan to build.

Pieces moved into place...
This is a shard of one of the wire mesh
storm proof windows from the Asbury Park Casino
which I was able to grab from the sidewalk that wrapped
around the ballroom. Shortly thereafter it was demolished.

Items layered and attached.
Here are the two panels completed...

"A Dynamic Collision Of Time"
Diptych - Two Panels - 24" X 36" Each

This was built for my living room and installed immediately.

Afterwards, it was time for periodic deep cleaning.
Here's hoping everyone's house is in order in every
possible way. Cheers and good wishes to all. - CDM
