Blondie (With Special Guest X): Live In NYC

Blondie's NYC Roseland Ballroom show was the last stop on their
"No Principals Tour" with X as the opening act.  It wasn't just a rock concert.
It had the feel of a special event that was chock full of high spirits and musical surprises.

A brass band opened Blondie's set and announced the band's arrival.
Debbie Harry took to the stage in what could be described as a High Priestess costume.

After a short interplay between brass band and Blondie, including some cape twirling
and fist pumping, the headlining act tore into "One Way Or Another" as their opening song.

From there on in, the night was dedicated to a highly adventurous set
of old and new songs by Ms. Harry and Co.  The band was in top form
in front of a tightly packed, sweaty and highly appreciative hometown crowd.

It was a perfect show that hit all of the expected Blondie showstoppers.  In addition, it
showcased the current and future direction of the music that the band is making in the 21st century.

Here are some shots from the opening set by legendary L.A. punk band X...
At one point they were joined by Debbie Harry for a little off-the-cuff song and dance.
