A katydid was on the hood of my car when I left for work on Friday and stayed with me for the full ride. The totemic symbology of the katydid is as follows: Transformation, sensitivity and awareness. Its camouflage abilities signify adaptability and the power to blend in or stand out. This highlights strengthened senses and awareness of both the seen and unseen. The katydid totem encourages attunement to new vibrations, intuition and sensitivity. It also indicates something new on the horizon. In some cultures, like the Jacarilla Apache, katydids are linked to love but their significance can vary given specific traditions. Their molting process is a powerful symbol of transformation, new ideas and growth. I was very glad to be the Uber for this little guy today and as far as the symbology, I’m here for all of it. I’m pleased I could share the totem and these tidings with all of you as well.
