There is a small building on the corner of Sloan and Fairlawn Avenues in Hamilton Township. I oftentimes pass it on my way to and from Scott's house and I never cease to be amazed by it. It seems to be part of a now-closed (but neatly maintained) mechanic's shop that's adjacent to a residence and it boasts a giant, street-facing American Flag painted on pieces of wooden pegboard. The decoration is at once folksy and prideful and I'd love to talk to the owner sometime about what event (or chain of events) influenced its construction. I would guess his response to be either very succinct and rational or rambling, incoherent and borderline aggressive. People who make such grand gestures on their properties are usually one of the two extremes.
