The Ways It Changes

At a certain point, the leaves will leave...

However not yet.
Here is a recap of the
last couple of months of foliage.

Okay, so let's examine "Dude Perfect"
This is very "aggressively closeted gay bro" or
"bromosexual". The guy on the right is ACTUALLY
all like "YAAAAAAS GURRRRRL!"

So great to have The Cure back with a new album.
This was a fantastic issue of Uncut magazine (available online).

Kylie Mingoue - Tension II (2024)
Clear vinyl, coral cassette, CD and signed art print

Outdoor and indoor flea market time...

My Autumn Chalet is open for the season.

Had to stop by Blick to refill some colors.
I am continuing to work steadily on illustrations
for my next book. It will be a while until it's
completed but it's going well. I'm not in a rush.

The carrot ginger soup is reminding me of the carrot ginger
tahini at Dojo NYC. I miss that place. The West 4th Street
location was good but I preferred the one on St. Marks.

I voted early and I got the last sticker.

Afraid Be Death is my new band name.

Happy Halloween I'm Steve.

My first listen to Songs Of A Lost World by The Cure.
Like many other Cure fans, I have waited 16 years for
a new album so today feels quite significant.
I chose my favorite park trail as the venue for my
first listen and I’m thrilled by what I’m hearing.
There’s an added layer to this. I first heard The Cure
in 1985 at age 12 when I saw the video for
Close To Me on Channel U68 and I’ve followed them
all the way to this moment. It’s 2024 and I’m enjoying new
music from one of my favorite bands at age 51. I am very grateful.

Directly after hearing the album, I tuned into the
Songs Of A Lost World concert livestream on YouTube.

Three hours of magic.
It can be seen HERE.

The leaf canopy is falling away.

Goodbye, October. Hello, November.
