This is a personal piece that was made to hang in my home.

As I often do when gathering items for such a piece, I carefully select elements

for several months (or years) until I feel I have enough strong images to work with.

Several 1960s Whitman Crayon boxes from my vintage art supply collection. While this seems to have been a fairly popular brand 40-odd years ago, not that many boxes of these seem to remain today.

Wisk Off Crayons Romper Room TV Game

A new addition to my collection. This one is a joint effort between a well known kids' TV show and a lesser known brand of crayons from the 1960s. The washable TV screen mat (reminiscent of the late 1950s Winky Dink TV drawing sets) and the wipe-off cardboard tablets were rather innovative for the time.
