Autumn Does Its Thing

A parting glance of my friend the blue heron.
I have a feeling he has migrated for the season.
I truly hope to see him again next spring and I'm
amazed that he's been gracing us with his presence
in the park for the last 13 years. Safe travels, you beauty.

Kylie Minogue's new LP Tension on
silver vinyl. It's a killer album worth many spins.

A friend texted me to ask what I was doing and I sent this picture
of me working at my desk in return. He informed me that
I'm in my Hot Nerd Era and I said "Thanks! I'll take it!"

Prepped for Back To School Night at work.
The parents seemed to enjoy what I presented.

Happy Engagement to my cousin Amanda and her fianceƩ John!

Happy Birthday to my brother from another mother!

Steve's vintage Halloween blow molds are amazing.

Views from Mom & Dad's house...

Mom and Dad hosted a birthday dinner for my friend Steve
because he is (of course) their favorite child... except maybe for Chancey.

Wishing everyone the best of all things as always.
Stay illuminated. Love, CDM

Town & Country: That October Chill

Here's to the warm color in that October chill...

From haunted dance halls to open landscapes...

To fallen vines and lairs for foxes...

From thermoplastics to tabletop assemblage...

To jokes played on students who leave their
punk rock accouterments behind for me to decorate...

From tall tabloid tales to 24/7 store trash...

From coloring contests to life in vivid color...

Here's to being the YES! in a world full of NO.

Here's to making a beautiful mess...

Here's to finding the shadows and the shine...

Here's to stopping to see the things
that some people drive by without looking...

Here's to the things that are discarded or
brushed aside by nature and human hands alike...

Here's to rediscovering books we loved in
our youth but had forgotten all about until recently...

Here's to Pete Burns.
Rest in peace, you unicorn.
You will be greatly missed.

And here's to New York after dark...

2016 has been a tough year for many.
I'm doing my best to keep it colorful for everyone.
It won't be much longer now, folks... Chin up.
