Long May He Glow

Nobody I know loves (or DOES) Christmas quite like my friend Steve.
I can't even begin to describe the amount of work that goes into his multi-room decorating bonanza of lights, motion and glowing warmth.  It may also be important to note:  He baked 114 DOZEN cookies and dessert bars of varied shapes, sizes and flavors this year.  (No, that number wasn't a typo.)

Tabletop Christmas Village

Another Christmas Season... Another night time visit to the wonderfully ornate and painstakingly crafted Tabletop Christmas Village of Stirling, New Jersey.  Each year, this family assembles a large canopied shed in their front yard to protect their illuminated and automated labor of love.  It's holly, jolly (and probably very heavy).

Christmas Umbrella Tree

Part of me wonders "Why bother?" but the other part of me asks if they were trying to make a Christmas Umbrella with the running rope lights on the trunk and the icicle lights on the edges of the lower branches.  Either way, it's kind of fun.  Stirling, NJ.  23 December 2010.

1950s: Times Square Dish

After being outbid on a couple of these time and time again, I finally snagged this 1950s NYC souvenir from a seller in England (of all imaginable places).  I'd like to think this little glass dish with the four-color graphics ended up with me so it could live in the United States in high style.

Foiled! > Cookie Coffin

We warned Mr. Gingerbread about those DAMN raisins!

Found Object: Rihanna Bieber

I came upon this (precisely as it is seen here) at work.
Looking down at this magazine, an all too perfect cut out greeted me.
Some punchlines write themselves.
