Family Affair: Throwing Muses joined by sometime bandmate (and Kristin Hersh's half sister)
Tanya Donelly for two full sets of Muses and Donelly solo songs (with a crowd-pleasing "Slow Dog"
by Tanya's 90s pop band Belly). When Ms. Hersh was asked by a crowd member how she felt about
playing with Tanya again, she looked forward and gave a righteous thumbs up. Solid musicianship,
ageless vocal prowess and intense stage mannerisms were met with a homegrown, comfortable
family "living room" feel. Having had other positive live experiences with Hersh, Donelly and Co.,
this was exactly what I expected and the show did not disappoint in any way. Cheers, folks. Well done!
