Awaiting & Welcoming 2008: Downtown NYC

A party unto ourselves: Myself, Scott, Steve, Billy and Liz...Dinner at Paprika on St. Marks Place and a walk down to Bowery and Delancey (amid throngs of predictably snockered "amateur night" revellers) to ring in the new year with Patti Smith. We feasted, laughed, enjoyed strong coffee, tried on eachothers' eyeglasses and talked about films, music and electronics. Peace and noise, indeed. 31 December 2007.

December 2007: Self Portrait Studies & Back Matter

I decided to celebrate the eve of 2008 (and my upcoming 35th birthday) with a new self portrait. I did the final version on an 8x10" watercolor paper and attached it inside of my sketchbook after all the roughs and color studies.
